Magnetic pots, also called cup magnets or disc magnets, consist of a magnet encased in metal, with its active magnet face exposed. Magnetic pots may have a hole, thread or screw in the center. Samarium cobalt pot magnets are powerful permanent magnets which are encased in a steel pot and are workable under very high temperatures that is 200° C. The magnetic force of these magnets are very high as compared to ceramic magnets due to which they have good resistance against demagnetization. Samarium pot magnets can be fastened that is they can be pressed, glued and screwed.
