The alnico rod magnets are also known as alnico cylindrical magnets, alnico cylindrical bar magnets and alnico cylindrical rod magnets.
The alnico cylindrical bar magnets can be used at temperatures of up to +550 degrees C. They are termed bar magnets because the distance between the poles is greater than the pole face dimensions (i.e. they are magnetised in the same direction as their longest dimension).

The proportions combine excellent performance with a high degree of stability.
Assembly and correct spacing are achieved by means of a force-fitted aluminium ring.
Caution is necessary at temperatures above about 250℃ because of possible mechanical loosening
through expansion and contraction of the component parts.
