AlNiCo pot magnets are coated by a steel pot, in between which a non-magnetisable raw material (brass or aluminium) has been inserted.
These pot magnets can be used in situations where high temperatures are used, up to 450 °C. At these temperatures a magnetic loss of approx. 30 – 40% occurs that is recovered however, as soon as the magnet has cooled off to room temperature.
Alnico Pot Magnets Characteristics
Extremely high temperature resistance
Enclosed in steel pot

Alnico Pot Magnets APPLICATIONS
Can be used in jigs and fixtures.
Can hold work-pieces during wire cutting.
Can be incorporated in press dies.
Pot Magnets, or Mounting Magnets, have a threaded hole and are suited to general purpose holding applications. Although Alnico Magnets are not as strong as other permanent magnets, they have excellent temperature stability and very good resistance to corrosion. Their mechanical strength is greater than either Neodymium or Ceramic/Ferrite magnets because Alnico magnets are both hard and brittle. HSMAG also supplies Neodymium Pot Magnets and Ceramic Pot Magnets.
